FERNANDO L. ROIG

Fernando L. Roig is a native born Floridian. Mr. Roig
received his undergraduate degree from the University of
Miami in 1985 and his Juris Doctorate degree from Nova
Southeastern University in 1988. Upon graduation from
law school, he commenced the practice of law as an
associate with a then well-known insurance defense firm
in Fort Lauderdale, Solomon, Murphy & Cote. Several
years later, in 1991, he became associated with the
prominent insurance defense firm of Conrad, Scherer &
James.
In January 1994, Mr. Roig became a founding partner in
the law firm of Murphy & Roig, P.A. and, in June 2000,
he began his own law firm, Fernando L. Roig and
Associates, P.A. In June of 2002, the firm became known
as Roig, Kasperovich & Tutan, P.A. and in 2009 the firm
became known as Roig, Tutan, Rosenberg & Zlotnick, P.A.
Mr. Roig has been appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to the
Fourth District Court of Appeals Judicial Nominating
Committee for two terms, and previously served as
Chairperson nominated by his peers. Mr. Roig also
previously served a two-year term on the Governor’s
Commission for the Everglades. Mr. Roig is fluent in
Spanish.
