ROIG Lawyers Attorney Accepted to Leadership Council On Legal Diversity 2016 Fellows Program

Veresa Jones Adams, an attorney in the Deerfield Beach office, has been accepted into the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 2016 Fellows Program.

Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 2016 Fellows Program selects leading attorneys from diverse backgrounds to set them on the path to leadership. The Fellows Program is a one-year, multifaceted experience, which allows each honoree to embark on a learning program that includes in-person conferences, training in various types of legal practices, peer-group projects to foster collaboration and build relationships, and extensive contact with LCLD’s leadership. The goal of the Fellows Program is to produce a generation of attorneys with strong leadership and relationship skills who are committed to fostering diversity within their individual institutions and the profession at large.

About the Attorney

Veresa concentrates her practice in the areas of insurance services and litigation. She has handled diverse litigation cases for Fortune 500 clients in the areas of products liability, pharmaceutical, toxic tort and general civil litigation. Veresa is well-versed in multi-jurisdictional practice, including handling mass tort cases throughout the Southeast and multi-district litigation (MDL).

She was previously selected as one of South Florida’s 100 Most Accomplished and Influential African-Americans in Healthcare & Law. As a young attorney, she was one of 12 attorneys selected by The Defense Research Institute to travel to Washington D.C. to be sworn in by the United States Supreme Court. She also served as an executive board member of the T.J. Reddick Bar Association.

She co-chaired Broward County’s Election Protection Project for the prestigious Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, a non-partisan organization that trained and oversaw hundreds of legal volunteers who staffed a voter hotline and monitored polls for several elections cycles.
