April 22, 2016

Four attorneys from ROIG Lawyers— Edward J. Carbone, Julie Harris Nelson, Veresa Jones Adams, and Craig P. Liszt—have been appointed and reappointed to standing committees of The Florida Bar. “Our standing committees are the backbone of our bar,” according to the appointment letters mailed to the four lawyers. The ROIG attorneys’ terms begin on July 1st this year and end on June 30th of the final year of service.

  • Edward J. Carbone (Tampa): Reappointed to Constitutional Judiciary Committee (2016—18)
  • Julie Harris Nelson (Miami): Reappointed to Diversity and Inclusion Committee (2016—17); appointed to Voluntary Bar Liaison Committee (2016-19)

The Florida Bar is the third-largest mandatory state bar in the United States. All Bar members are invited to become involved in activities of the Bar’s standing committees. These various volunteer groups do much of the work of The Florida Bar. In addition to the Board of Governors committees, special committees are appointed to study and make recommendations in response to issues of significance to the legal profession or system of laws in Florida.
