Partner Mark Rose to Speak at 2014 FDLA Annual Meeting

Roig Lawyers, a minority-owned, litigation law firm dedicated to serving clients across seven offices throughout Florida, is pleased to announce that Mark Rose will be a speaker at the Florida Defense Lawyers Association Annual Meeting being held in Palm Beach on August 7—10, 2014.

“Social Media Discover and Admissibility” is the topic Mark and John M. Miller of Henderson Franklin will address during an August 9 CLE seminar.

“Hundreds of millions of users now publish personal or company-related photos, messages, and location information on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn daily,” notes Mark Rose. “This CLE seminar will help defense lawyers and their clients understand what is admissible, how to obtain social media data, as well as special privacy considerations.”

About Mark J. Rose. Mark is a partner in the Deerfield Beach office of Roig Lawyers. He concentrates his practice in Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and No-Fault litigation.

Mark frequently speaks and writes on trends in the legal industry. He served as a keynote speaker at the 2013 America’s Claims Event in Austin, Texas on the topic of Six Sigma and claims management. His article, “Six Sigma, Meet Claims: A Primer on the Methodology and Its Promise” was published byClaims Magazine in January, 2013. An earlier article, titled “Florida’s No-Fault Law and the 2012 Statutory Amendments,” was published in the Trial Advocate Quarterly, (Vol. 31 No. 3, Summer 2012).

Mark is Co-Chair of the Florida Defense Lawyer’s Association’s Young Lawyer’s Committee. An educator, he serves as an adjunct professor of business law at Palm Beach State College, where he teaches “The Legal and Ethical Environment of Business.”

Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Mark practiced civil litigation and personal injury law at a Boca Raton boutique law firm. He is AV® Peer Review Rated by Martindale Hubbell, and recognized by Avvo with a 10 out of 10 rating.

While in law school Mark served as a federal litigation intern at the United States Department of Justice, earned a certificate in Leadership Development, and served on the American Bar Association award-winning Student Leadership Development Committee.

Mark obtained his B.S. in Engineering, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh. He earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Stetson University.
