ROIG Lawyers Ranked #1 Law Firm For Hispanic Attorneys

May 19, 2016

ROIG Lawyers has been ranked #1 in the nation in Law360’s “The 10 Best Law Firms For Hispanic Attorneys.” The ranking showcases nationally leading law firms’ efforts and achievements in recruiting and retaining Hispanic attorneys.

Law360 cited firms such as ROIG for cultivating relationships with law students in lower-ranked schools and promoting more senior Hispanic attorneys to leadership positions.

“Establishing these key relationships with young Hispanic attorneys is what sets us apart from the overwhelmingly white ranks of law firms,” said ROIG founding partner Fernando L. Roig. “Through our recruitment efforts, we target key candidates who not only demonstrate skillfulness in the legal profession but also contribute as leaders in the community.”

This recognition continues one of many meaningful rankings for the firm in terms of diversity. ROIG was ranked as the #2 most diverse law firm in South Florida by the Daily Business Review. Minority-owned ROIG ranked #14 in the “Top 100 Firms for Minority Attorneys” and #31 in the “Top 50 Firms for Minority Equity Partners,” both by Law360. ROIG was #40 in Law360’s “Top 100 Law Firms for Female Attorneys.”

In 2016, ROIG hired partners Francis X. Sexton Jr. and James P. Guests, who both have experience with international litigation focusing on Latin America. “The addition of partners Frank and J.P. to our firm was part of that strategic plan expanding the firm’s focus toward Latin America,” said firm managing partner, Michael A. Rosenberg.

“We feel that as a firm with a strong presence in South Florida, it is our duty to be representative of our community,” Rosenberg added.
