Dawn M. Carsten is a partner in the Jacksonville office of Roig Lawyers.
Dawn concentrates her practice in the area of Personal Injury Protection (PIP) litigation, Examination Under Oath and Windshield claims litigation. Dawn handles PIP claims on behalf of insurance carriers and evaluates cases for various issues, including but not limited to,
Prior to focusing her career on insurance defense matters, Dawn served as a civil litigation law clerk at a firm in Jacksonville, Florida handling cases involving personal injury, commercial litigation, lender liability, and foreclosure defense. While in law school, Dawn served as an environmental extern at Holland and Knight; became a certified legal intern at the Consumer Law Clinic at Florida Coastal School of Law and managed trial level foreclosure and debt collection cases for indigent clients; and spent her spring breaks volunteering with the Migrant Farmworker Justice Project with Florida Legal Services, Inc., for which she interviewed migrant workers regarding working conditions and prepared reports to be used in support of a class action complaint. Dawn also served as a teaching assistant for Contracts I and II courses and helped students comprehend substantive law through various simulation exercises.
