This course explores the business use of drones as an insurance adjusting tool as well as insurance liability issues that may result from the recreational use of drones.
The course will cover the following:
- Using drones to survey property damage after a significant event, such as a hurricane, or to simplify an adjuster’s time spent surveying and documenting property damage
- Drones operated for recreational use also create liability issues ranging from personal injury to property damage due to inexperienced users, equipment malfunctions, and retrieval of downed or fallen drones
- Explore the emergence of drone usage and how it may impact the insurance industry
