New Attorneys Added to ROIG Lawyers Insurance Services Practice

Roig Lawyers is proud to announce the addition of attorneys Marina Cardinez, Philip Coffaro, Steven Flaxman, Joanne Frankel, Jacqueline Katz, and Blake Levine to their Deerfield Beach, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa offices. The new attorneys have joined the firm’s Insurance Services and Litigation practices.

Marina Cardinez is an associate in the Deerfield Beach office of Roig Lawyers. Marina’s practice revolves largely around PIP cases involving complex litigation matters and investigations. She closely analyzes the facts and legal issues of each case to detect and defend against fraudulent claims, staged accidents, false and forged signatures and documents, patterns of unnecessary medical treatment, and unlicensed activity.

Philip Coffaro is an associate in the Orlando office of Roig Lawyers. Philip concentrates his practice in the areas of Insurance Services and Personal Injury Protection/No-Fault litigation. He has experience handling all aspects of PIP litigation. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in 2013 and his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 2007.

Steven Flaxman is an associate in the Miami office of Roig Lawyers. Steven concentrates his practice in the areas of Insurance Services and Personal Injury Protection/No-Fault litigation. He has experience in all facets of preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials related to PIP cases. Steven also has experience conducting initial evaluation of files, drafting and responding to discovery, drafting motions for summary judgment and other applicable motions, and corresponding memoranda of law. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the Florida State University.

Joanna Frankel is an associate in the Deerfield Beach office of Roig Lawyers. Joanna concentrates her practice in Personal Injury Protection/No-Fault and Bodily Injury Defense. She has litigated over 260 PIP claims through all stages of litigation from inception to trial. Joanna has significant experience in litigating first-party claims including conducting the initial evaluation of files, drafting discovery, responding to discovery, attending various motion calendar hearings, drafting motions for summary judgment and other applicable motions, and corresponding memoranda of law, as well as attendance at mediations and trials.

Jacqueline Katz is an associate in the Tampa office of Roig Lawyers. Jacqueline concentrates her practice in the areas of Insurance Services and Personal Injury Protection/No-Fault litigation. She has significant experience handling all aspects of Personal Injury Protection cases through all phases of litigation. Specifically, Jacqueline has defended PIP claims on the basis of coverage, unlawful treatment, unlawful licensing, medical necessity, relatedness, fraud, false and misleading statements, and reasonableness of the charges and treatment.

Blake Levine is an attorney in the Deerfield Beach office of Roig Lawyers. Blake concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance services and Personal Injury Protection/No-Fault litigation. He has experience handling all aspects of Personal Injury Protection from inception to trial preparation or settlement. While in law school, Levine interned for The Honorable Jeffery R. Levenson of the 17th Judicial Circuit, was a law clerk for a large personal injury firm, and served as a member of the Nova Southeastern Academic Disciplinary Board.
