Roig Lawyers Adds Prominent Corporate Partners from Levine Kellogg to Bolster Miami Office

Roig Lawyers, is pleased to announce the addition of prominent corporate partners Francis “Frank” X. Sexton Jr. and James P. Gueits to our corporate practice as it continues to grow our footprint across six offices throughout Florida.

Frank’s international arbitration practice coupled with his extensive international experience will expand Roig Lawyers’ global reach.”

Frank has over 40 years of experience and concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts, with an emphasis in business disputes, real estate, business torts, professional liability, investment fraud, intra-corporate and partnership disputes, trademark infringement, shipping disputes, banking disputes and debtor/creditor problems. He has tried cases in both state and federal courts, jury and non-jury.

As an arbitrator of more than 20 years, Frank has represented hundreds of clients in arbitrations in both U.S. – based and international disputes and has conducted them either as a litigant or an arbitrator. Frank is an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution. He is a state-approved Circuit and County Court mediator. Frank is committed to the South Florida community. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the 11th Judicial Circuit Historical Society, member of the Board of Directors for Rotary Club of Coral Gables, and many more. Frank received his Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University and his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center.

James advises clients with business interests in the U.S. and Latin America. James has broad experience providing in-bound corporate services to foreign-based companies, as well as to companies with domestic operations. He also represents clients in real estate and financial transactions. James has represented lenders and other institutional providers of credit during the documentation of various types of facilities.

James regularly handles complex business litigation involving mergers, acquisitions, securities fraud and shareholder disputes. He has particular experience defending companies operating in foreign jurisdictions and their shareholders against claims asserted in U.S. courts. James also represents business interests in proceedings before administrative agencies of government.

James is dedicated to the South Florida community. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Drug-Free Youth In Town organization and as an appointed Trustee of the City of Coral Gables Pension System.
