Roig Lawyers Continues to Expand Litigation Practice Group

Roig Lawyers, a minority-owned, multi-practice litigation law firm dedicated to serving clients across six offices throughout Florida, welcomes three new attorneys to the Firm’s Litigation practice group.

Mark D. Bartle joins the Firm’s Deerfield Beach office as an associate and will concentrate his practice on Personal Injury Protection (PIP)/No-Fault litigation. Mark handles cases in the areas of Wrongful Death, Premises Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Breach of Contract, Business, Real Estate, and Intellectual Property. Prior to entering the law field, Mark served for ten years as a member of the Air Force Reserves and a Civilian EMT Firefighter. As a veteran of the United States Air Force Reserve, he provided emergency medical treatment and in-patient care. He attained his associate’s degree from the Community College of the Air Force in 2005. Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2007 from the College of Charleston and his Juris Doctorate in 2010 from Florida International University.

Lani Cespedes joins the Firm’s Miami office as an associate and will concentrate her practice on Personal Injury Protection (PIP)/No-Fault litigation. Lani handles all aspects of PIP claims from initiation to trial or settlement including court appearances on motions, depositions, and mediations. Lani has also litigated cases in various areas including but not limited to Family Law, Immigration, Bankruptcy, PIP Plaintiff, Personal Injury, Property Damage, Condominium Association, Bad Checks, Collection, Landlord/Tenant, Mortgage Foreclosure; Loan Modifications, and Breach of Contract. She has represented various lenders in all aspects of litigation and in negotiations for loan modifications. As a Coverage Attorney, Lani covered appearances for plaintiff PIP cases on behalf of medical providers and doctors. Lani also handled various mortgage foreclosure hearings on behalf of lenders and homeowners. Lani is a frequent presenter to adjusters and other industry-related professionals on topics regarding all aspects of handling pre-litigation PIP claims and the proper manner to conduct Examinations Under Oath. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1997 and a Juris Doctorate in 2002 from St. Thomas University.

Darien M. Doe joins the Firm’s Miami office as an associate with her main practice concentrated on Personal Injury Protection (PIP)/No-Fault litigation. Darien has represented automobile insurance companies in all phases of PIP litigation as well as bodily injury and subrogation litigation. As an Assistant Attorney General, she represented the State of Florida in all stages of criminal appellate matters and has appeared before the Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeals in various issues such as sufficiency of evidence, peremptory challenges, and probation revocation. Darien has over 75 published appellate opinions. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1994 from Florida State University and her Juris Doctorate in 1997 from the University of Miami.
